They say you never really know what you have until it's gone

But that certainly wasn't true with Erin

We knew... We always knew

...It started with a phone call...

Your daughter had some sort of attack while on her way to school,"  the man on the phone said, "this is an emergency!"

The doctors are trying to revive her," the Chaplin said once we arrived at the Emergency Room, "but it doesn't look good..."

We're terribly sorry," the doctor said as we stood by our daughter's side, "we did all we could..."

...and with that, Erin was gone and our grief journey had begun...

Only God knows the number of our days.  For Erin, her earthly existence ceased

just twelve days following her seventeenth birthday.  Mid-stride on her walk to school,

God called Erin home.  A day that began as routine, changed with a heartbeat into the

unimaginable  A soft patch of ground cover alongside the sidewalk cushioned

her body… gentle caresses from a kind woman were given to comfort … valiant efforts

of passers-by to revive her were in vain… for Erin was gone.

For when David (Erin) served God’s purpose in his (her) own generation he (she) fell asleep
